We are fully committed to providing a high-quality education for every student who attends our school. We believe that all students have an entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and enrichment curriculum that is both accessible and inclusive, and we recognise the strengths and contributions of every student to our dynamic learning programme.

Students learn at different rates, and many factors affect their achievement, including ability, emotional state, age, maturity, and learning style. Many students, at some time in their school career, may experience difficulties that affect their learning. The Learning Development Department is the primary support mechanism for students to face and overcome mild to moderate learning challenges.

The Department works in various ways, mainly through in-class support to promote inclusion. Needs are assessed through diagnostic testing and observation, and in some specific cases, individual support may be offered. Parents are involved in support processes for their children, particularly when advice is sought from external agencies.
