We are mindful that learning is a personal journey for each of us. Students acquire knowledge and skills and develop their understanding at different stages. Suppose a student will benefit from additional learning support beyond the standard range of differentiation within the grade level. In that case, they will be referred to the Learning Support Team.

Our Learning Support Team works in close collaboration with parents, classroom teachers, the pastoral team and outside professionals, if necessary, to identify how best to support our students on their learning journey.

Typically this involves a member of the Learning Support Team observing the student in the classroom, using a range of screening and assessment tools and conducting cognitive, academic and achievement tests to determine the correct level of support. If appropriate, our Learning Support Team will refer parents to seek further assessments with outside professionals such as an educational psychologist, paediatrician, speech and language therapist, or occupational therapist.

We are a school where each student is essential, and relationships are valued. Our Learning Support Team is committed to working in unity to support each student to recognise their strengths, enjoy learning and achieve their personal best.

However, it is essential to note that the scope and availability of the Learning Support services we can offer are limited. All students seeking to enrol at our school, who have received learning support at their previous school, must inform the school during the admissions process.
