The performing arts at SJI International are vibrant, engaging and relevant to our students. The arts programmes develop and challenge students inside and outside the classroom, producing outstanding achievements across the school and the broader community. Learning in the arts is a process of discovery where students engage with practical skills to develop their individuality and an ability to express and communicate themselves to build better, deeper and more connected lives. In our specialist classrooms and through various productions, shows, workshops, trips, festivals, and our MADDD (Music, Art, Dance, Drama, Design) Week, students are never short of opportunities to express and develop their creative talents.
Our campus is home to numerous performance venues, including our School Hall, which was recently renovated with new lighting and sound equipment, and a Black Box studio. Our Glass Hall performance space has a stunning Yamaha concert grand piano.
Students can regularly perform live at various concerts throughout the year. This is important to developing confidence in their ability and learning to communicate music within an ensemble or group.
Our annual concert calendar includes the following:
Students can also engage with our Instrumental Tuition Programme (ITP).
