ONCE A LASALLIAN

Our SJI International alumni community is strong and remains connected globally.

Sport is an integral part of life here at our elementary school. We offer a tremendous variety of individual and team sports across all age groups and skill levels. Our campus and facilities make this possible, and each day they are buzzing with teams, coaches and smiling children all fully engaged in the sport that they love.

SJI International Elementary School is a leading school in ACSIS (Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools). For a medium-sized school, our rate of participation and performance is simply outstanding. Almost 50% of our students (Grade 2-6) will play on at least one school team each year, and we are extremely proud of this. We have accomplished this by providing a vibrant and exciting programme giving every child an opportunity to play, either by joining a CCA club or being in their school team. By getting kids ‘hooked into sport’ at a young age we engage them fully, and in doing so help develop our students’ virtues of self-confidence and resilience.

We know through our Character Education programme that sports help develop and grow the virtues of every child. Our Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools (ACSIS) sports teams. Every year our coaches and providers are offered training on learning to speak ‘the language of the virtues’, and use this as the basis for the social skills learning that takes place in every training session and match.
