Community

ONCE A LASALLIAN

Our SJI International alumni community is strong and remains connected globally.

Outdoor Education

Outdoor Education is an important part of an SJI International education, with all students participating in challenging Grade Expeditions to locations such as Bintan, Tioman, Krabi, Cameron Highlands and Bali.

In each grade, our students participate in transformative residential experiences that foster the development of experiential skills and character strengths. These experiences encourage students to step out of their comfort zones, building resilience as learners and supporting their peers. Through these challenges, students gain confidence, learn innovative ways to overcome obstacles and transform challenges into positive life experiences.

In Grades 9 and 10, students are introduced to the National Youth Achievement Award (the Duke of Edinburgh Award in the UK and the International Award worldwide). The National Youth Achievement Award is a compulsory part of our Grade 9 curriculum, with an impressive 90% of our students achieving the Bronze Award. We have a dedicated team of six NYAA leaders who support the implementation of the Silver and Gold Awards in the later years of their education.
