Students commence High School Grade 7 in the year they turn 13. There are two pathways for entry, all of which require the student to have turned 12 before entry.

Entry from Grade 6

There is an automatic transition from SJI International Elementary School Grade 6 into Grade 7 of SJI International (High School).

Direct Entry: Grade 7

Eligibility: International students, Singaporean citizens and Student Pass Holders. Applicants should have completed Grade 6 or Year 7, or Primary 6 by the time they join us.

Level: Grade 7

Curriculum: Foundation IGCSE

Grade 7 is the first year of High School, and the students undertake a 2-year Foundation International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) based on the British National Curriculum. Students follow a broad range of subjects taught by specialist teachers. Exposure to various subjects enables students to make informed choices about their IGCSE options and what they will study in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
