Before undertaking the online Admissions Application, please take the time to read the SJI International Elementary School Admissions Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Enrolment. During the online application, you will be asked to acknowledge and accept these policies before being able to submit your application. These policies can be found HERE.
If you would like to proceed with this application, a non-refundable Application Fee of $1,605.00 is required.
Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer.
Credit card payments are made via the RedDot payment platform. Upon payment, you will receive a confirmation email with the Order Number. This Order Number is required to be entered where indicated in the application. application form.
If you make payment by bank transfer, you will need to provide the Transaction Reference Number where indicated in the application. Please indicate the student's full name in the 'Comments for Recipient' field provided by your bank.

Once you have paid your Application Fee, you can proceed with the online application. You will be prompted to upload the required documents in the relevant pages of the application. Click here for application form.
Please note, a separate application must be submitted for each child you wish to enrol in the school.
Upon submission of your application, you will receive an email confirmation stating your application is successfully submitted.
If you do not receive this confirmation email, your application has not been successful and you will need to contact our Admissions team making sure that you quote your child's full name and date of birth.
The Admissions Team will contact you within 2 weeks of your submission to inform you of the next stage of the application process. For further information regarding the admissions process, please see below.
Online Application is submitted – this is only complete when all required documents are provided and the application fee is paid. Please note that we receive significantly more applications than places available and therefore there is no guarantee that an application will result in an offer of a place.
We will accept applications up to 2 years (24 months) in advance of the date of enrolment. We strongly advise early applications as we will close the Admissions Pool to new applicants of Grades where we have received a significant number of applications.
When the application has been approved, it is immediately placed in the Admissions Pool for the Grade and year that was indicated on the online application form. You will not be able to change the application date to another enrolment date in the future, however, you are able to bring the date forward to an earlier enrolment, subject to approval from the School.
As soon as a vacancy arrives, we will assess your child’s application against our Entrance Criteria (see the Terms & Conditions) and if they are suitable for the place, we will contact you for an assessment indicating when the enrolment will be for e.g. after Easter break or Term 2 etc. Please note that we are not able to admit a wide spectrum of learning needs (including English as a second language) as we have limited resources available. If your child has or is currently receiving learning support you may wish to contact us for more information.
If no vacancies are available for the Grade and year that you have applied for, your child's application is then automatically rolled over to the next Grade and year until the end of Term 1 Grade 6. The Admissions Team will contact you by February of Grade 6 as to your next options.
The Admissions Office will contact parents to arrange a suitable time and date for the student to be assessed. Prep 1 to Grade 1 will undertake an observation assessment and Grade 2 to Grade 6 a computerised and written assessment and interview.
Our Admissions Review Committee (chaired by the Director of Advancement, Communication Admissions) conducts a holistic review of the applicants taking into account all the submitted documents, the observation/admissions test and interview results.
Our Admissions Office will inform parents of the outcome of the Admissions process as soon as a decision is made. If the applicant is offered a place, parents will be asked to confirm acceptance within the designated time period (usually 2 weeks). Please note that we do not allow deferments to another Grade or term. If you do not take up the offer, we will then remove the applicant from the admissions pool. This does preclude you in applying again to SJI International for another Grade in the future.
After acceptance of a place is received by the School, a Student Contract will be sent to you via DocuSign to electronically sign your confirmation of the intended enrolment
On completion of the Student Contract, our Finance Department will invoice you for the one-time payment of the non-refundable Enrolment Fee and the Tuition and Development Fees. Once paid, these fees are non-refundable.
When a student is transferring from one international school to another, and we receive notification from the current school of outstanding financial obligations we will delay the student’s admission until a satisfactory arrangement to settle the account has been made.
