SJI International School is an independent co-educational Lasallian Catholic day school. Now in its ninth year, the school has grown steadily and enjoys an outstanding reputation for quality education in Singapore. The school follows a Southern Hemisphere academic year (January to December). We are committed to developing each child’s full potential within an involved and internationally-minded community. Our Elementary School educates 670 students, aged 4 to 12 years. The High School caters for 1030 students (aged 12 - 18), with 385 IB Diploma students in Grades 11 and 12.
We seek to employ the finest teachers from around the world who are dedicated to giving all their students the very best educational experience possible. They represent more than 15 nationalities, adding to the students’ international experience. Our teachers are fully involved and committed to the Enrichment programmes offered by the school. We are committed to attracting and retaining staff of the highest quality. We strive to provide a nurturing working environment which values the professionalism of each employee and fosters a shared responsibility for furthering the School’s mission. Applications for teaching posts are welcomed from enthusiastic, ambitious teachers of all religious denominations who are prepared to support our Lasallian Catholic ethos and play a full part in our thriving school community.
Through the International Primary Curriculum Excellence, the Elementary School strives to provide dynamic learning experiences, using a curriculum providing a cross-curricular, thematic and engaging structure for learning. The Elementary School prides itself on its service and leadership programmes, an extensive range of extra-curricular activities and the opportunities provided for expeditions overseas. Students also follow the Singapore Maths curriculum and attend daily Chinese lessons. The High School has high academic standards. The average IB Diploma score for our most recent (2015) cohort of students was 37.6 points, with 38.4% of our students achieving 40 points or more. Three students scored a perfect 45 (the school record was seven perfect passes in 2014). Our A*/A pass rate at IGCSE was 75% (40% at A*), another school record. Academic excellence is, however, only part of the story. The High School prides itself on its holistic programme. This includes Service (a central part of our mission) and leadership programmes, an extensive range of co-curricular activities and an exciting outdoor education programme.
