Last month, Lady Gaga and some of the world’s most prominent musicians came together for the ‘One World: Together At Home’ concert, to raise funds for frontline healthcare workers and the World Health Organisation.
Closer to home, Tan brothers - Zachary (Grade 7) and Ryan (Grade 4) - along with other SJI International students were so inspired by that same concert that they decided to stage their own concert last week.
“With the current circuit breaker and lockdowns in many parts of the world, the biggest thing we as children can do is to stay home - and listen to our parents of course - but Theodore Roosevelt once said: Do what you can, with what you have, where you are,” Zac and Ryan said.
They aim to raise funds for The Courage Fund established by the National Council of Social Service, to help vulnerable individuals and families affected by COVID-19. They also dedicate the concert to all the frontline workers who have been working tirelessly, ensuring that we stay safe while we stay home. Watch full concert here.
