SJI International's PE Team has a new member on board!

We recently spoke to the new Head of Swimming, Mr Darshy, to get to know him better.

What brought you to SJI International?

I was motivated by the opportunity to lead a wonderful group of committed swimmers and lead the new swim program at SJI International.  

Where were you previously, and what inspired you to teach swimming/sports in school?

Before joining SJI International, I taught at Dulwich College for almost nine years. My passion has always been swimming. I have been a swimmer all my life, and my ambition is to inspire the next generation of athletes. 

What are you most excited about in your new role?

I am excited to meet the talented students at SJI International and find ways to develop them further, to national level swimming, through my expertise. 

What are you hoping to achieve in your role?

I hope to inspire young athletes, be a role model and let them be the best they can be. Helping them develop good character so they will be of service to the community one day.

What's the best advice that you have been given as a coach/teacher?

Enjoy what you do & keep having fun! If you love what you are doing, there are no limits.
