On the 2nd of March, SJI International hosted its 3rd Law Conference, which included several key events, such as inspiring speeches from our guest speakers and stimulating Mock Trials. The conference reached over 100 participants from various schools, who gained greater insight into the different aspects, highlights, and challenges of a career in law. Our esteemed guest speakers, Ms Diana Ngiam and Ms Lee Yoke Mun, along with our alumni speaker, Ms Valerie Seet, provided the participants with a glimpse into their unique experiences in working in the field of law and answered any queries they had regarding legal professions during the Q&A session which followed the speeches.  

Following these speeches, the participants engaged in 3 different Mock Trial cases for the rest of the day, immersing themselves in the dynamics of real-world courtroom scenarios. This allowed them to gain first-hand experience in legal proceedings and develop their debating and critical-thinking skills. The event enriched participants’ understanding, passion, and ambition regarding the legal community. With its resounding success, LawCon is crucial in nurturing the next generation of legal minds.
