37 Scholarships awarded for the SJI International IB Diploma Course

Sixty-nine students from Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and India have won special scholarships to study in Singapore.
The inaugural awards were launched this year by St Joseph's Institution and SJI International. National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan, a former student of SJI, gave out the scholarships on Saturday.
Thirty-two scholarships went to outstanding Primary Six students. They will each will get $2,400 a year for four years of secondary education (at St Joseph’s Institution.)
Thirty-seven awards were given to Secondary Four students to pursue a two-year International Baccalaureate diploma at SJI International.
One third of them are from Vietnam, Indonesia and India. The scholarships range from $15,000 to $20,000 per year. The awards were sponsored by various donors, including the estate of Tan Sri Khoo Teck Puat, Keppel Land and previous students of SJI.
It should be added that the KMP company also generously provided scholarships and that the scholarships to foreigners include additional sums for residential costs, transport and pocket money.
