Dear friends of the media

We have received queries from the media following MOE's announcement of its approval for SJI International. In response to these queries, we are issuing this statement, attributable to Bro Michael Broughton, Area Director De La Salle Brothers Singapore, on behalf of the Governing Board of SJI International:

"We thank MOE for this vote of confidence. We are also greatly encouraged by the strong support from old boys, parents and the public for the new school. My team has worked very hard over the past few months. Principal-designate, Andrew Bennett, is now busy recruiting the best teachers for SJI International. I want to reiterate our commitment to making SJI International a quality international school founded on the best of SJI's traditions, ethos and strengths. With God's continuing guidance, we will work towards starting the school in Jan 07 as scheduled. Student enrolment will commence immediately."

Brother Michael and Mr Andrew Bennett, Principal-designate, would like to invite all interested parents to SJI International’s Information Sessions at 10 am and 3 pm, on Sat 16 Sep 06 at the SJI Performing Arts Centre, SJI Malcolm Road.
